NCT ID NCT06216886

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether injecting Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) into the skin of the face can reduce the number of painful attacks in people with trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that causes severe, stabbing facial pain. About 20 adults who still have frequent attacks despite medication will receive either Botox or a saltwater placebo shot. The main goal is to see if the number of attacks per week drops after treatment.
