Botox jab in throat could ease sleep apnea
NCT ID NCT07399782
Summary
This study is testing whether injecting Botox into a specific throat muscle can help people with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. The goal is to see if relaxing this muscle reduces airway collapse during sleep, which could improve breathing and reduce daytime sleepiness. Researchers will measure changes in sleep apnea severity and oxygen levels three months after the injection.
