NCT ID NCT07437053

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether two types of amino acid supplements can safely improve muscle mass and strength in people with advanced chronic kidney disease who also have muscle loss (sarcopenia). About 20 adults aged 45–75 will take the supplements for 6 weeks each. The goal is to find a way to treat muscle loss without needing a high-protein diet, which is usually not recommended for kidney patients.
