First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to repair large bone gaps in arms or legs that don't heal on their own. Doctors take a small sample of your own bone marrow, grow the stem cells in a lab, and combine them with a special scaffold to create living bone tissue. This is then implanted into the defect. The goal is to see if this helps bones heal better and faster. The trial involves 30 adults aged 18 to 55 with specific types of bone loss or cysts.
