First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to repair large bone gaps in arms or legs that don't heal on their own. Doctors take a small sample of your bone marrow, grow the stem cells in a lab, and combine them with a special scaffold to create new bone. The goal is to see if this helps bones heal better and faster. About 30 people aged 18 to 55 with severe bone defects will take part.
