3D-Printed titanium meshes help grow new jawbone for dental implants

Summary
This study tested custom-made titanium meshes to rebuild lost jawbone in 15 people who needed dental implants. The meshes were designed using 3D imaging and computer modeling to fit each person's defect. Results showed that the meshes helped grow new bone, though some meshes became exposed during healing.
