Bone marrow wrap may boost meniscus repair healing
NCT ID NCT03968029
First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a bone marrow injection under a protective collagen membrane (wrapping) helps meniscus tears in the non-vascular area heal better after suture repair. 96 participants with symptomatic or traumatic meniscus tears were followed for 24 months. The goal was to see if the extra treatment improves healing and reduces the need for repeat surgery.
