Cow bone graft may boost dental implant success in front teeth

NCT ID NCT07569146

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at whether placing a deproteinized bovine (cow) bone graft around a new dental implant helps it heal better in the front upper jaw. Sixteen adults with a tooth that needed to be replaced received an immediate implant, half with the bone graft and half without. The researchers measured pain, swelling, implant stability, and bone density over six months to see if the graft made a difference.
