Cow bone graft boosts dental implant success in small study
NCT ID NCT07569146
First seen May 09, 2026 ยท Last updated May 09, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether adding a deproteinized bovine (cow) bone graft around a new dental implant helps it heal better in the front upper jaw. Sixteen adults with a tooth that needed to be replaced received an immediate implant, with half getting the bone graft and half not. Researchers measured pain, swelling, implant stability, and bone density right after surgery and six months later to see if the graft made a difference.
