Scientists investigate if body fat and muscle change how radiation hits tumors
NCT ID NCT07587814
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how a person's body composition—like muscle and fat levels—affects the radiation dose delivered to tumors and healthy organs during a targeted therapy for advanced prostate cancer. About 100 men with a specific type of prostate cancer will receive the standard treatment, and researchers will use CT scans to measure body composition and see how it relates to dosing. The goal is to make treatment more precise and reduce side effects.
