New hope for hard-to-treat blood cancers: experimental drug combo enters human testing

Summary
This early study tests a new drug called BMS-986497 in people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) whose cancer has returned or not responded to other treatments. The drug is given alone or together with standard medicines (azacitidine and venetoclax). The main goals are to find a safe dose and check for side effects. About 105 adults will take part.
