New hope for tough blood cancers: experimental drug combo trial opens

Summary
This early-stage study tests a new drug, BMS-986497, for people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) that has come back or not responded to treatment. The drug is given alone or with standard medicines (azacitidine and venetoclax) to find the safest dose and see if it helps shrink the cancer. About 105 adults will take part.
