Experimental vein fix device tested in 14 patients – study halted early
NCT ID NCT03216005
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a device called the BlueLeaf System to help people with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where leg veins don't push blood back to the heart properly. The goal was to see if the device could safely restore vein function and reduce backward blood flow. Only 14 people took part, and the study was stopped early, so results are limited.
