NCT ID NCT07559643
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study compares two blood-thinning injections, tinzaparin and enoxaparin, to see which better prevents dangerous blood clots after weight loss surgery. About 180 adults having laparoscopic bariatric surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two injections daily for 21 days after surgery. A single extra blood test on day two will measure how well the medication is working, and patients will be followed for 30 days to track any clots or bleeding.
