Blood test could unlock clues to debilitating scarring diseases
NCT ID NCT07393217
Summary
This study aims to see if a protein in the blood, called FAP, can tell doctors more about disease activity and lung scarring in people with rheumatoid arthritis or systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). Researchers will take a single blood sample from 111 participants, including patients and healthy people, and compare FAP levels to standard medical tests. The goal is to gather knowledge for future patient care, not to change anyone's current treatment.
