First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple blood test can help doctors decide if a head CT scan is needed for people with a mild head injury. Researchers will collect blood samples from 350 adults in the emergency room and see if the test results match the need for imaging. The goal is to reduce the number of unnecessary CT scans while still catching serious brain injuries.
