Blood test may unlock targeted cancer therapy for more bladder cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06129084

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test (ctDNA) can better detect certain genetic changes (FGFR) in metastatic bladder cancer compared to the usual tissue biopsy. About 260 patients will have both tests to see if the blood test identifies more people who could benefit from the drug erdafitinib. The goal is to improve access to targeted therapy without needing a tissue sample.
