Blood test may boost colon cancer screening in underserved groups

NCT ID NCT07436637

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study aims to see if offering a blood test (Guardant Shield) along with standard reminders helps more people who are overdue for colon cancer screening actually get screened. About 500 adults aged 45-85 will be randomly assigned to receive either a standard reminder or a standard reminder plus the option to give a blood sample. The main goal is to compare how many people complete screening within 6 months in each group.
