NCT ID NCT07198308
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 20 non-diabetic ICU patients to see if there is a link between blood sugar levels and heart rate variability (HRV), a measure of nervous system health. The goal was to better understand stress-induced high blood sugar in critically ill patients. Researchers measured blood sugar, insulin, and a hormone called glucagon, then compared them to HRV readings.
