Brain monitor may predict organ injury during surgery

NCT ID NCT05336864

First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether low blood pressure during major non-cardiac surgery can harm organs like the heart and kidneys. Researchers used a special brain monitor to find each patient's safe blood pressure range. The goal is to see if staying within that range can reduce complications. 650 adults at risk for heart problems took part.
