Sleeve or no sleeve? new study checks blood pressure cuff accuracy
NCT ID NCT06999863
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether wearing a sleeve under a blood pressure cuff changes the reading. Researchers tested 75 intensive care patients who already had a special tube in their artery for precise blood pressure measurement. They compared readings taken on bare skin, over a thin sleeve, and over a thick sleeve to see if the cuff was still accurate.
