Sleeve or no sleeve? study tests blood pressure cuff accuracy

NCT ID NCT06999863

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study checked if wearing a sleeve under a blood pressure cuff changes the reading. Researchers tested 75 intensive care patients who already had a special tube in their artery for exact blood pressure measurement. They compared readings taken on bare skin, a thin sleeve, and a thick sleeve to see if the cuff was still accurate.
