Ankle cuff may let moms hold newborns right after C-Section
NCT ID NCT07422766
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether measuring blood pressure at the ankle works as well as the standard arm cuff during planned C-sections. About 110 women will have both arm and ankle readings taken. If ankle readings are reliable, moms could hold their babies skin-to-skin right after birth without needing an arm cuff in the way.
