Cuff training could ease breathing for lung patients
NCT ID NCT07315425
Summary
This study is testing if a special type of light exercise can help people with interstitial lung disease (ILD), a condition that scars the lungs and makes breathing difficult. Researchers want to see if wearing a cuff that slightly restricts blood flow during light cycling or walking helps muscles use oxygen better and reduces feelings of breathlessness and fatigue. Thirty participants with ILD will try both the special exercise and regular light exercise to compare the immediate effects on their heart, breathing, and muscle oxygen levels.
