Tight cuffs on thighs may help COPD patients breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07261293

Summary

This study is testing if a special type of low-intensity exercise is better than standard rehab for people with COPD. Researchers will have 34 participants with COPD do standard breathing exercises, but one group will also do cycling with cuffs on their thighs to partially restrict blood flow. The goal is to see if this new method improves how far patients can walk, reduces body-wide inflammation, and helps them breathe better without being as tiring.
