New clotting drug may stop bleeding faster in heart surgery patients

Summary
This study tests a new medicine (BE1116) against standard fresh frozen plasma to control bleeding in 200 adults during complex heart surgery with a heart-lung machine. The goal is to see if BE1116 corrects clotting problems more effectively. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the new drug or plasma, and their blood clotting is measured 30 minutes after treatment.
