New transplant recipe aims to cut Graft-Versus-Host disease in blood cancer patients

Summary
This early-phase study tests a new combination of chemotherapy drugs (thiotepa, busulfan, fludarabine) followed by a lower dose of post-transplant cyclophosphamide for stem cell transplants in people with blood cancers like leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome. The goal is to reduce the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) while still controlling the cancer. About 48 adults aged 18-70 will participate.
