New shot could tame rare leukemia in adults

Summary
This study tests a subcutaneous (under-the-skin) form of blinatumomab for adults with a rare, aggressive leukemia called CD19-positive mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL). It includes three groups: newly diagnosed patients who cannot tolerate strong chemotherapy, patients in remission with leftover cancer cells, and patients whose disease has returned or not responded to prior treatment. The goal is to see if this drug can eliminate cancer cells and improve survival.
