First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the experimental drug bleximenib to standard chemotherapy improves outcomes for adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has a KMT2A rearrangement or NPM1 mutation. Bleximenib blocks a protein interaction that helps leukemia cells survive. About 875 participants will receive either bleximenib or a placebo alongside chemo, followed by maintenance therapy. The main goal is to see if the drug extends the time without cancer returning.
