Four-Pronged drug attack tested against tough bladder cancers
NCT ID NCT00082706
Summary
This study tested a combination of four chemotherapy drugs (5-FU, leucovorin, gemcitabine, and cisplatin) in patients with advanced adenocarcinoma of the bladder, urethra, or a related structure called the urachal remnant. The goal was to see how well this drug combination could shrink tumors and control the cancer, while also monitoring side effects. The trial enrolled 46 patients whose cancer had spread or could not be removed by surgery.
