Full or empty? landmark trial tests bladder strategy to ease radiation side effects

Summary

This study tests whether having a full or empty bladder during pelvic radiation therapy leads to fewer side effects. About 300 adults with pelvic cancers will be randomly assigned to one of the two bladder protocols. The goal is to find which approach better reduces bladder and bowel side effects within three months after treatment.
