Major study weighs cost and quality of life in bladder cancer care
NCT ID NCT07225127
Summary
This study aims to help patients and doctors choose between two main treatment paths for recurrent, high-grade bladder cancer that hasn't invaded the muscle wall. It will directly compare keeping the bladder with medication (bladder-sparing therapy) against surgically removing the bladder (cystectomy). The research focuses on how these choices affect patients' and caregivers' financial stress, quality of life, anxiety, and long-term survival.
