Timing is everything: new study aims to ease bladder pain during cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT07495072
First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether starting Blad-Care (a gel that coats the bladder) early during BCG therapy can reduce bladder irritation like pain and urgency in people with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. About 56 adults will be randomly assigned to get Blad-Care either early or after BCG treatment ends. The goal is to improve comfort and quality of life without changing the cancer treatment itself.
