First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a device that measures brain activity (called BIS) can detect dialysis disequilibrium syndrome, a side effect that can happen during first-time dialysis. Researchers will monitor 20 people having their first dialysis sessions and look for changes in brain signals. The goal is to see if BIS monitoring can spot the condition earlier than current methods.
