Dissolving scaffold could open blocked leg arteries without permanent metal

NCT ID NCT07290101

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This early study tests a new device that acts like a temporary scaffold to open blocked arteries in the pelvis or leg. The scaffold is made of a material that dissolves over time, so nothing stays in the body permanently. The study will include 15 people with narrowed or blocked iliac arteries to see if the device is safe and works well.
