First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether exercising in a gym with natural elements like plants, sunlight, and nature sounds improves performance and enjoyment compared to a standard gym. 25 male college students who exercise regularly completed treadmill tests in both settings. Researchers measured oxygen use, heart rate, and how hard the workout felt, and surveyed mood and enjoyment. The goal is to understand if biophilic design can make indoor exercise more beneficial.
