First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests a new device called a vestibular implant that is surgically placed behind the ear to stimulate the balance nerve. It is designed for adults with long-term dizziness and balance issues that have not improved with standard therapy. The study will enroll 18 people and measure changes in walking and balance over six months. The goal is to see if the implant can safely improve daily stability and reduce fall risk.
