First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving a special antibiotic (linezolid) together with a mucus-dissolving drug can reduce the sticky layer of bacteria (biofilm) that forms on urinary stents after kidney stone removal. About 100 adults who need a stent for one month after stone treatment will take part. The goal is to see if this combination lowers infection and stent-related discomfort better than standard care.
