First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested a new material (Biodentine) against a standard one (Metapex) for treating deep cavities in baby teeth that have caused irreversible pulpitis (nerve infection). 28 children aged 4-9 received one of the two treatments. The goal was to see which better relieved pain and prevented bone damage around the tooth root. The study is completed, and results will help dentists choose the best way to save infected baby teeth.
