First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested a new type of dental implant that looks like a natural tooth root (bio-implant) against the usual screw-type implant. It involved 8 people with missing back teeth on both sides of the lower jaw and a special tooth called a pier abutment. The goal was to see which implant works better for holding a partial denture, checking bone and gum health over 6 months.
