New combo tackles tough pancreatic cancer in early trial

Summary

This early-phase trial tested a combination of two drugs, binimetinib and hydroxychloroquine, in 34 people with metastatic pancreatic cancer that has a specific gene change (KRAS mutation). The goal was to find the safest dose and see if the combination could slow tumor growth. The study was completed, but results are not yet available.
