VR and brain music may take the edge off childbirth

NCT ID NCT07518667

First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study will test whether listening to special binaural-beat music or using virtual reality during labor can lower pain and change key birth hormones. About 90 women in active labor will be split into three groups: one using VR, one listening to the music, and one receiving standard care. Researchers will measure hormone levels and pain scores to see if these relaxing techniques make labor more comfortable.
