Sound waves may replace sedatives for C-Section moms

NCT ID NCT07515716

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether listening to binaural beats (a type of sound pattern) can lower the amount of midazolam, a sedative, needed during cesarean sections done under spinal anesthesia. Researchers will compare two groups of pregnant women: one listening to binaural beats and one not. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free method can help mothers stay calm and reduce medication use.
