Sound waves may replace sedatives for C-Section moms
NCT ID NCT07386054
First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether listening to binaural beats—special sounds that help relax the brain—can reduce the amount of sedative medication needed during a C-section. About 100 women having a planned C-section under spinal anesthesia will either listen to these beats or not. The goal is to see if the beats lower anxiety and the need for midazolam, a sedative that can cause side effects like breathing problems.
