Sound therapy may replace sedatives for C-Section moms

NCT ID NCT07386054

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests if listening to binaural beats (special sounds that calm the brain) can lower the amount of sedative drug needed during a C-section. Pregnant women having a C-section under spinal anesthesia often feel anxious and get a drug called midazolam, which can cause side effects. The goal is to see if the beats can reduce drug use and improve comfort.
