Eye implant could replace daily drops for glaucoma patients having cataract surgery

NCT ID NCT07218783

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 39 times

Summary

This study tests whether a tiny implant that releases medication inside the eye can control eye pressure as well as standard eye drops in people with glaucoma or high eye pressure who are also having cataract surgery. About 400 adults will receive either the implant plus a special lens or daily eye drops. The goal is to see if the implant provides safe and effective pressure control without the need for daily drops.
