New combo therapy extends life for advanced bile duct cancer patients

Summary

This study tested whether adding a liver-directed chemotherapy (HAIC) to standard bile duct drainage could help people with advanced bile duct cancer live longer. 127 adults with inoperable cancer took part. The goal was to see if the combination improved survival and controlled the tumor better than drainage alone.
