First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding chemotherapy directly into the liver's blood supply (HAIC) to standard bile duct drainage could help people with advanced bile duct cancer live longer. 127 adults with inoperable cancer took part. The goal was to see if the combined treatment improved overall survival compared to drainage alone.
