Smart radiation targets cancer pain in bones

NCT ID NCT06549478

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new radiation method called BgRT for people whose cancer has spread to the bone and causes pain. The treatment uses live imaging to precisely target the tumor during a single session. Researchers want to see if it is safe and can reduce pain and the need for repeat treatments. About 24 adults with solid tumors and painful bone metastases will take part.
