New exercise method may strengthen weak hands in kids with cerebral palsy
NCT ID NCT07347795
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether blood flow restriction (BFR) training can help children aged 6-12 with hemiparetic cerebral palsy improve their hand grip strength. Hand weakness often makes daily tasks hard for these children. BFR training uses a cuff to partly block blood flow during low-intensity exercises, which may build strength without heavy weights. The study will measure grip strength and muscle thickness in the forearm.
